Our poker room is a purpose-built space where the felt, the chairs, and the lighting all work together to keep you focused on the cards and the company. The room has been arranged so that no player has their back to the action, and the low, warm lighting keeps the atmosphere intimate without making the cards hard to read.
Every design choice in the room follows the Table Edge concept: the horizon line of the table is your anchor, drawing your eye across the felt to the other players. The continuous edge line is echoed in the room's trim and dividers, and the seating arrangement creates a sense of intimacy and focus.

Our tables are the centrepiece of the room. Each one is built with a solid timber frame, a saffron felt surface, and a petrol blue edge line that defines the playing area. The felt is tightly stretched to prevent wrinkles and ensure smooth card slides, while the edge line is inlaid, not painted, for durability.
The felt is soft but firm, the cards glide without slipping, and the chips stack with a satisfying weight. Cards are standard playing cards, handled face-to-face, and poker chips are provided as physical table accessories. It is a surface designed for hours of play.
Golden Felt Lounge is as much a restaurant as it is a poker venue. The poker room is designed to complement the dining experience, not compete with it. You can reserve a table for poker and then move to the restaurant for a meal, or enjoy a drink at the rail while you play. The menu features substantial Australian cuisine, from steaks to seafood, and beverages are available while the focus remains on the game and the food.
Arrive a little early to get settled. Our staff will show you to your table and explain the house rules. You do not need to bring anything—we provide cards and chips.
